Samoëns

Located in the heart of the Giffre Valley, only 45 minutes to Geneva, close to the majestic Criou and close to the glacial cirque du Fer à Cheval, the resort of Samoens represent the authentic mountain village.

Samoens is the mountain resort be classified as a historic monument, country of Art and History. Halfway between Geneva and Mont Blanc, Samoens occupies the highest point of the Giffre Valley. The plain bordered by mountain is 700 m to over 3000 m with Mont Buet, the last bastion of the limestone Alps adjacent to both peaks of Chamonix.

Winter in Samoëns

In winter, enjoy the 265 km of ski slopes linking Flaine, Les Carroz d’Araches, Morillon, Sixt Fer à Cheval and Samoëns. Access to the ski slopes from the village only 8 minutes by the Grand Massif.

Discover the Cascade slope : 14 km long that will take you from the top of the Great « Grand Platières » 2500 meters up at Flaine to the village of Sixt located 1700 m below.
Come and enjoy many winter sports such as alpine skiing, nordic skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, paraglide skiing … and share good time with your family at the skating rink, cinema and bowling.
